After completing his apprenticeship as a computer scientist in 2007, Lazar worked as an application engineer at a Swiss bank. Two years later, however, his desire for a more creative career took him to the lifestyle magazine Faces, where he worked as Director of New Media, and from 2010 to 2011 to iart, where he worked in media production and IT. Lazar then studied Visual Communication at the Basel Academy of Art and Design FHNW. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 2015, followed by a Master of Arts in Visual Communication and Image Research in 2017. Lazar then worked as a designer and information architect in the IT sector and as a creative director at a technology company before rejoining iart as a system developer in 2023.
