Oliver studied biology, philosophy and English and founded his first dotcom web agency during his studies. He remained true to this passion for many years and worked in the web industry as a project manager and concept developer.

For a company in Basel he contributed significantly to the development and establishment of the first mobile North American music download service. He launched these services for Canada's largest telecommunications company in close cooperation with international record labels.

In 2012, Oliver launched appamics together with partners. The company specialized in complex mobile and TV apps and developed its own IoT-iBeacon platform. Inspired by the Light Frieze of the Kunstmuseum Basel, he decided to dedicate his work entirely to projects of this kind in the future and has been working as a project manager at iart since 2016.
