"Mock-Up" at the Swiss Museum of Architecture
Only rarely does a museum have the opportunity to show architectural work in its original form. Thus, the "Mock-Up" exhibition, which opened on Friday at the Swiss Architecture Museum in Basel (S AM), offers something very special. Instead of plans, models or illustrations, it presents real material exhibits, so-called mock-ups, which are reproductions of building sections on a scale true to the original.
We are very pleased to be part of this exciting exhibition with our mock-up of the zero-energy media facade for Novartis. The contributions by Herzog & de Meuron, Staufer & Hasler Architects, NEST/Gramazio Kohler Architects, baubüro in situ & Zirkular, Manuel Herz Architects, 51N4E/NEWROPE and a series of images by Canadian photographer David K. Ross also impressively demonstrate the very different functions and uses of mock-ups.
The exhibition "Mock-Up" can be seen at S AM in Basel until 31 October 2021.
