On 4 November 2016, the celebration of the Red Dot Award 2016: Communication Design took place in the Konzerthaus Berlin. The Best of the Best winners were presented with their trophies, and the winners of the Red Dot: Grand Prix were revealed in front of an international audience.

We are particularly delighted that the light frieze for the Kunstmuseum Basel was honoured with the Grand Prix in the category 'Spatial Communication'. Out of a total of 7,838 entries from 46 countries, nine projects received the highest individual award this year.
