Light Frieze Wins Gold at Essence 16 Award
The light frieze for the Kunstmuseum Basel was awarded with Gold in the category 'Design' at the Swiss Graphic Design Award Essence. It was the only project to receive this highest award. All winners and shortlisted project can be viewed here: http://essence.sgv.ch/de/auszeichnungen-2016/
Essence is an annual design competition organised by the SGV Swiss Graphic Design Association and is awarded in the four categories 'Design', 'Interactive', 'Illustration' and 'Motion'. The award ceremony took place on 24 November at the Landesmuseum Zurich.
On 26 November, the SGV will host the Essence 16 Forum. Valentin Spiess will be one of the laureates from the previous year to give a 'Best Practice' speech, alongside visual artist François Chalet and art director Hans Grüninger of WBG AG. iart won Silver and the Members' Prize at Essence 15 with the interactive books for the Paul Gauguin exhibition at the Fondation Beyeler.
