In Touch With the Future

The Imagine Healthcare Hub is a multimedia space unlike any other. As a state-of-the-art environment, it is entirely dedicated to collaborative discussion. It offers various combinations of physical and digital settings and thus enables a whole range of innovative usage scenarios.

The Co-Creation Game offers a playful basis for discussions on opportunities and challenges of future joint fields of work. The touch screens of the mobile panels can be used to interact, either showing different game sessions independently or synchronised into a single game session. The projection screen can be used to display the summary of the results.

On-site workshops with participants connected online become interactive experiences with the help of media panels. Via microphones and loudspeakers, the panels act as an interface to the outside world and - since they are about the size of a body - also physically represent people in the room who are connected online. If required, they show digital interactive whiteboards, Google Slides or similar.

In the "full immersion scenario", the focus is on the projection, which can show large-format content such as the Roche Virtual Walkthrough App in an immersive way. The room's lighting is dimmed, with specific lighting accents. Supplementary content can be shown on the media panels. The visual content for the "Idle Mode" was designed and produced especially for IHH, inspired by Roche's corporate identity.

The Imagine Healthcare Hub offers a complex technical system for the production of streaming content in high quality. Five professionally illuminated speaker positions are provided for this purpose. The content is transmitted with the help of two remote-controlled cameras and various microphones. Media support is provided by media panels and immersive projection as a background for the speakers. The video stream produced in this way can be broadcasted to a larger audience via Roche's professional web streaming service.

The Imagine Healthcare Hub embodies what characterises the entire Roche Campus Rotkreuz. For it is an outstanding example of a new type of space that serves technically mediated innovation. For companies like Roche that are driven by research teams, they will be of central importance in the future.
