A 66
With Precise Media Gestures, an Atmospheric Building of the Publisher MDPi Is Revitalised.

What does the A66 stand for?
The A 66 is an extraordinary venue: timeless architecture combined with state-of-the-art technical equipment enables atmospheric conferences, symposia, networking events and workshops. Thanks to interior and exterior media components, the former printing works has now been transformed into a lively platform for dialogue.
What do the media elements in the interior and exterior spaces do?
Both the facade and the interior spaces can be individually programmed thanks to media elements. This allows the timeless atmosphere of the modernist building to be transformed in line with the respective branding of its changing users. This is contemporary corporate communication in space!
Technical facts of the facade
- LEDs display moving video patterns in the customer's corporate colours
- 20 pixels per LED segment
- Total dimensions of the facade: 420 x 140 pixels
- Upload image or video files via CMS

What characterises the media facade?
On the outside, the coloured lighting fixtures of the media facade are located in the covered vestibule of the glass facade, which is characterised by vertical and horizontal beams. They were installed diagonally to this grid in such a way that they playfully reflect the visual structure of the MDPI customer logo. The abstract molecular structure that characterises the logo stands out in three dimensions before visitors to the A 66. And the LEDs are not just ordinary lights: they can play different video patterns in the customer's respective corporate colour. A vibrant, three-dimensional light image that connects the outside and inside.
Technical Facts of the interior Media Components
- LED wall resolution: 3840 x 1920px
- LED side walls: 640 x 1920px
- Easy media upload via CMS, including HTML-based text overlays
- Customised presentations using Clickshare

What distinguishes the media components in the interior?
In addition to various coloured lighting elements, the open-plan main room features a large, high-resolution LED wall, the left and right sides of which can also be used to display content. The wall can be used either as a flexible screen or as a subtle backdrop. Both the LED wall and all lights and loudspeakers are controlled via tablet.
